About Me

I do have my daughter's permission to share this video.  She was working on a writing assignment and wanted my help.  It's never a dull moment!

Whether you’re considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, or struggling with homeschooling, the single best way to get your bearings is to find an experienced mentor to help guide you.

An ideal mentor is someone who has been in your shoes: she has herself weighed the pros and cons of homeschooling as she made her decision.  She has dealt - successfully - with the feelings of overwhelm, insecurity, fear, frustration, and anxiety that is common to new homeschoolers and those struggling with it.  She can look you in the eye and, with conviction, tell you that she is confident in her role as a homeschooler.

I gave homeschooling a trial run in the late summer of 2003, shortly before my oldest child turned five, since he was too young to start kindergarten at school with most of his friends.  I wish I could tell you I was a rockstar right from the start.  Homeschooling was actually a disaster right from the start.
Seriously.  A few weeks in, and I knew that if something didn’t change, my son would be going to kindergarten in the fall of 2004.

Fortunately, I found my groove.  And I never looked back.  I graduated my son in the spring of 2017 and my oldest daughter in the spring of 2020.  I have until 2027 with my youngest.

Over the years, I have nurtured deep roots in my local homeschooling community, built a vast network with other homeschoolers all across the U.S., and given my support, advice, and encouragement to too many other homeschoolers to count.

I’m here for you, too.  Go check out what I’ve got to offer.  Let me know how I can help you.

Join the Group

Homeschooling isn't a solo sport.  You need a group of other families surrounding you - both online and in real life - in order to be successful.

I created the "Your Confident, Successful Homeschool" Facebook group to do for you what I have done in my own life - give you the opportunity to sink some roots into a homeschooling community, forge some connections with other homeschoolers, and to give and get support.  It's free to join.

I can't wait to see you on the inside and get to know you better!

Homeschool Coaching / Consultation

Sometimes, one-on-one, homeschooler-to-homeschooler help is what you really need.  Maybe you want that extra support or some accountability that you just can't get in a recorded class.

Either way, you need some coaching from a knowledgable, experienced homeschooler!
I'll ask you to begin the process of connecting with me by filling out an intake survey.  I want to make sure that the help you need is support I can deliver.  We need to be a good "match" for one another.  After you fill it out and I read through it, I will contact you to schedule or to refer you to other mentors who may be a better fit for you based on what you're looking for.

Consultations are available in half-hour sessions ($30), hour sessions ($50), or in packages of 4, one-hour sessions ($185), and are subject to availability.
